Jamaica is an island in the Caribbean with beautiful exotic nature, great beaches, a wide selection of hotels – from cozy small hotels to modern and luxurious villas. Jamaica is most famous as the birthplace of performer Bob Marli. Regis (a genre of music developed in Jamaica in the late 1970s) is not the only popular style of music – the rhythms of ska, rocksteady, mentor, and other styles are enchanting on the streets. While visiting the island, you can admire the picturesque mountains and rainforests without fear of meeting a snake – almost all of them have been exterminated by mongooses that were brought in to catch mice. Jamaica is the third-largest island in the Caribbean, with more than half of the mountains. Tourists to the country are attracted by the white sand beaches, turquoise sea, and of course, endless fun. Jamaica can be boldly called a country of music and sun, but travelers will find much more here.
Jamaica has five major cities – resorts: the country’s capital is Kingston in the southeast, Port Antonio in the northeast, Ochios Rios in the north, Montego Bay in the northwest, and Negril in the west.
